- All-electric Fisker Ocean Extreme has achieved a combined WLTP range of up to 440 UK miles, exceeding the company’s previous estimates, which makes it the longest-range offering pure electric SUV to be sold in Europe currently.
- Fisker CEO, Henrik Fisker said, “This achievement is a major milestone for everyone at Fisker, and we are delighted the range exceeds our initial calculations. We created a fantastic 5-passenger vehicle, offering our buyers range confidence, comfort, and convenience in every trip.”
- The company also claimed that the latest and most cutting-edge technologies used in the Fisker Ocean Extreme can power it to potentially drive from London to Glasgow or Paris to Frankfurt on a single charge with range to spare.
- Fisker will now allow Customers to configure their Ocean SUV via Fisker’s official website directly.
- Customer Deliveries in Europe will begin after the European homologation of Fisker which is expected to be completed by the authorities before April 28, 2023.
- The first European Fisker Centers+ and lounge will open in Vienna and Copenhagen on April 11, 2023. Fisker plans to open additional Centers across Europe and the US in 2023.

Fisker Ocean Extreme has achieved a certified range of 440 miles on the official WLTP test, it will offer the highest driving range of any pure electric SUV when it goes on sale later this year. And the entry-level models featuring a smaller battery pack are expected to give up to 275 miles of range. However, Fisker hasn’t yet publicly disclosed the battery specifications for the Ocean SUV.

- EV Startup Lucid is recalling 637 vehicles due to some flawed electrically activated switches that may cause its EVs to lose power while being driven.
- According to the filing by Lucid with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on March 23, the recall could affect the 2022-2023 model year Lucid Air.
- The company said in the filing that, “This may lead to a loss of propulsion without pre-warning and may increase the risk of a crash.”
- Lucid says its service centers will update the software of the vehicle and replace the problematic switches free of charge.

Hertz Rental's Chief Financial Officer Quits
- Rental car giant Hertz Global has announced its Chief Financial Officer Kenny Cheung is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities in a different industry.
- The company said Chief Accounting Officer, Alexandra Brooks will serve as interim finance chief with effect from April 1.
- Cheung’s departure comes at a time when Hertz’s profitability has come under pressure in recent months due to higher car maintenance costs.
- According to Refinitiv data, the company’s profit is expected to fall by up to 84% for the first quarter, as the demand for car rentals also wanes on lower seasonal travel.
- Mr. Cheung is expected to remain with the company until April 14 while the board searches for a permanent replacement.
- He was appointed chief financial officer in the fall of 2020 and he lead the company through the pandemic and its tumultuous bankruptcy process.
